He's actually one of my closer friends in sec school but we drifted after graduation. Recently, we all got in contact with him again, and decided to have a simple celebration for him.
We went to The Lab SG as 3 out of 5 of us needs halal food.
He was forced to wear the garland ONLY. That is really nothing compared to our traditional pranks and props! Was hoping to get away easy since my birthday is up next, so hopefully he'd help to nego for mine haha!
Ordered the Red Velvet Latte. It just tastes like a thick, hot chocolate. I like that it's not too sweet. And it's red!
I can't remember the name for this but it's drumlets covered in chilli sauce, somewhat like sambal? Served with blue cheese sauce. It looked reaaaaaally spicy, but turned out to be tolerable! Love the blue cheese sauce!
Some of the mains we had.
My burger with beef patty. Remember from other reviews that their burgers are good, but this was disappointing... The whole burger was dry and the patty wasn't juicy or tender. Maybe this was the wrong burger to get? I like the sweet potato fries though.
Last pic before we split.

Had an impromptu dinner/birthday celebration with the primary school friends! Really impromptu, decided just the day before haha. As there are so many people in the group chat, it's hard to catch everyone.
With YL. I wasn't close to her at all in school but somehow we kept in contact and worked together for several years. See her until sian haha!!
I was looking at birthdays coming up and realised Derrick's birthday was coming in 2 days! So I asked YL to get cupcakes so we can give him a little surprise after dinner.
After dinner at Eighteen Chefs, we went to Starbucks and got ready. It was rather hard trying the light the candle on my lap haha.
Anywayyy he was surprised! ^.^
He was the one who actually made me feel competitive for the first time? Because we always compared results lol.
Some of the primary school classmates. So nice seeing some of you after so long!
17 Jan was our 9th anniversary! The last anniversary as single/engaged. Next year, it'll be our 10th anniversary AND wedding day. So exciting! We've settled almost everything, received our wedding album and frame. Only left with car rental & getting photographers and videographers. We're actually meeting them next month for discussion!
So for this anniversary, we just went shopping at Bugis and had dinner at Todai. Together for so long, what else to do in SG? Haha.
Finally wore my new favourite shoes from Mitju! Decided to get black instead of cream as it's easier to match. Usually if I can't decide, I'll get both colours (or 3 or more) but I didn't want to spend so much.
Trimmed my fringe into bangs...I still think I do a better job than hairdressers because I'm in control and know what I want.
Not bad ah, looks quite sweet LOL.
The Fiancé! Really doesn't feel like it's been 9 years!
Todai was satisfying! Went crazy with the sushi and crab legs. The sushi is the best I've ever had! Crab legs were cooked in salt water so it can be rather salty. The ones we had in Seoul was much better, but cannot compare la!
Korean food. So excited when I saw japchae but it was disappointing.
Didn't take much photos as I was busy gorging and hands were dirty from the crab legs most of the time.
Dessert was also disappointing, can't compare to The Line. To me, the nicest out of the desserts was the cheesecake.
I'd go back for the sushi, sashimi, Korean grilled meat and the crabs. If you need good desserts, you should really go somewhere else though. Nonetheless, super enjoyed the meal!
