Valari's Baby Shower, Freeing SG, Saveur, Concetto, Boomarang

Attended my ex-boss's baby shower at Indulge at Grand Park City Hall. Didn't manage to get a photo of baby Valari.

Boxes and boxes of cupcakes baked by her sister (also my ex-boss). Regretted not taking two, the cupcakes were damn good!

After that, we went to meet my Character Design classmates for Freeing SG. They have different rooms with different escape themes. We went for the one called Unmask. It's so difficult! We were so close to solving, but ran out of time at just near the end. There was a part where one of the staffs wore a scary mask and scared us. I didn't see him at first and got a shock when the other girls screamed.

We had dinner at Poulet before going to Mind Cafe. I've only had their chicken once. It's good but I got so sick of it, can't even bear to have it after a year. But I have to say that I'm surprised other non chicken dishes are good too!

Smoked Duck Salad.

Iberico Pork Belly.

Free creme brulee because the bill was over a certain amount.

Second time trying Churros in Singapore. This is wayyyyy much better than the one in Grub. Grub's version totally put me off churros and I wondered why are so many people into it. Then we tried churros in Seoul and realised Grub's churros were a total failure.

Rachael brought us to Max Brenner and the churros were pretty good! Love the milk chocolate dip.

We went to Concetto twice this month. I first heard of it when watching Foodporn in Clicknetwork, and decided to try it because the duck tortellini looked good.

Concetto Pasta. I find it much better than Saveur Pasta! Saveur Pasta reminds me of my favourite instant noodles, 100 Ramen Char Mee. I think it's because of the chilli oil.

My Duck Tortellini. Really loaded with filling but would prefer it to be hot. It was just warm.

Fiancé's Beef Oyster Blade. We agreed that this was the best among what we ordered.

Rachael's Lamb Ossobucco. Only tried the risotto, it was average.

Second visit to Concetto was just yesterday. Three of us ordered the Crab Risotto. I find it good but not salty enough.

Bolognese. I really like this!

Our second main because we weren't full. Pollo Allo. I love the mash and mushrooms. The chicken could be more tender.

Met Lishan for our second visit to Saveur at Far East Plaza. The service is good as but waiting time for food was really, really long.

Saveur Pasta.

Duck Salad.

Duck Confit. It somehow gets saltier as you eat, just like the first time we tried.

Pork Belly.

This is an appetiser not in the menu. It was the special for the day and we decided to try. It also got saltier as we ate more. I don't eat pumpkin. This sauce contains pumpkin and I was scraping the last of it.
Potato gnocchi with cheese pumpkin sauce and parmesan chip.

This I love. Pistachio Panna Cotta.

With the Fiancé.

Happened to see Yuanling when we attended the same Work-Life talk at Grand Park City Hall! We've not seen each other for 4 years. We were colleagues back in Dusty, a brand that sold street fashion.

We went for dinner at a Boomarang (aussie food), where her girlfriend works as a chef. I left the ordering to Yuanling since she knows what's good.

Pepper & Lime Calamari. Looks different from what we usually have. These are in strips, very crispy and crunchy even after awhile when it's not hot. Prefer this to any other calamari I've had!

Cajun Salmon. Well cooked! The usual doesn't come with the mushrooms.

With our choice side of mash potato.

I'll HAVE to bring the Fiancé here! Am already missing the mash and calamari...

Ending of with a selfie with Yuanling. It was great catching up with you! Thanks for introducing a great restaurant!
